If you're avoiding your sibling for other reasons, try going for walks or hanging out with friends more often. Try your best to make yourself busy outside of your home. Lock your bedroom door. If you have your own bedroom, locking the door is the best way to ensure your privacy, if you're allowed to.

Try inviting her to play a game, take a walk, go outside, dance to music, or do something else with you that she enjoys. Having some fun may help your sibling feel a little better. She probably won't forget her problem, but she might feel a little more optimistic about it, because she may feel less alone.

You can mend a broken relationship over time, but the process must start with a real apology. If trust was breached, be honest and tell them why you did what you did, and what you were thinking at the time. You may need to do some soul-searching to determine your motives, so you can give them a genuine explanation.
